NEET 5 Month Study Plan: NEET is one of the most challenging entrance exams in India. Every year, lakhs of students take admission for NEET preparation. But only those students are successful who plan their preparation smartly. So if you have only 5 months for NEET, then don’t panic. With a NEET 5 Month Study Plan, you can prepare for NEET confidently and increase your NEET score. You can easily crack NEET in 5 months with the right strategy, discipline, a timetable, NEET books, and revision methods. Here, we will discuss a complete 5 months strategy for NEET exam, including a NEET month-wise preparation plan, NEET last 5 months timetable, NEET revision tips, and NEET exam preparation books.

NEET 5 Month Study Plan

The NEET 5 Month Study Plan provides you with step-by-step guidance throughout your exam preparation. In five months, you should regularly revise the NCERT, solve previous year questions, and take mock tests. The preparation timetable must cover three subjects- Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. You should prepare for Biology thoroughly as the Biology section has 50% weightage in NEET.

Important points to consider for a NEET 5 Month Study Plan

  • Read NCERT Class 11 and Class 12 Biology at least twice.

  • Solve NEET Physics numericals daily.

  • Revise Chemistry formulas, reactions, and exceptions.

  • Take the NEET mock test practice weekly and work on your mistakes.

  • Daily routine for NEET aspirants that includes both studies and rest.

  • With this strategy, you will be confident about how to crack NEET in 5 months.

5 Months Strategy for NEET Exam

A well-planned 5 months time table for NEET should have more hours dedicated to Biology as it carries the maximum number of questions. Chemistry should be allotted sufficient time to revise formulas and practice. Physics requires time dedicated to solving more problems by maintaining good time management.

Prioritize NCERT First: NCERT Class 11 and 12 books are the most important resources for NEET. You must go through the Biology NCERT line by line, revise the Chemistry NCERT 2 or 3 times, and practice all NCERT Physics examples first before going to reference books.

  • Balanced Preparation for All Three Subjects: As Biology has the maximum weightage of 50%, you must allot the most study hours for Biology every day. You must revise Chemistry every day and start with Inorganic Chemistry directly from NCERT books. For Physics, you must do numerical problems every day to gain confidence and speed.

  • Make a Daily Schedule: Plan a strict daily timetable and study for 10–12 hours each day. You can keep fixed time slots for Biology theory, Physics numerical problems, and Chemistry revision. Also, include small breaks in between to avoid over-studying and mental stress.

  • Practice with Mock Tests: Mock tests are an integral part of the 5 months strategy for NEET exam preparation. In the beginning, you can start with subject-wise mock tests and then slowly switch to full-length mock tests once a week. You can increase the frequency of the mock tests to one per day in the final month.

  • Revise with Short Notes: Prepare short notes, formula sheets, and reaction charts for quick and effective revision. In the last couple of months, only refer to these short notes and NCERT diagrams for preparation and avoid heavy books.

  • Check Errors Regularly: After each mock test, analyze the mistakes and write them down in a separate notebook. Revise those weak areas again so that you do not repeat those mistakes in the actual exam.

  • Practice with Time Management Tricks: Divide your time equally among all three subjects during preparation. In the actual exam, you can practice finishing Biology within 40 minutes, Chemistry in 50 minutes, and Physics in 1 hour to attempt the paper in time.

Month 2: Solidifying Concepts and Solving Problems

This month is for deepening understanding and solving a variety of problems.

  • Biology: Revision of Class 12 chapters, such as Reproduction, Genetics, and Evolution, and practice of NCERT-based objective questions daily.

  • Chemistry: Study of all chapters of Class 12th Physical Chemistry (Electrochemistry, Kinetics, Physical Chemistry Properties, etc. ), revision of Organic reaction mechanisms, and reading of NCERT Inorganic Chemistry daily.

  • Physics: Studying chapters of Current Electricity, Magnetism, and Alternating Current with daily numerical practice from DC Pandey.

  • Mock tests: Attempting subject-wise mock tests every weekend and maintaining the record of mistakes for revision.

Month 3: Solving PYQs and Practicing

This month focuses on applying knowledge through PYQs and practice.

  • Biology: Revision of the complete NCERT book once and special revision of Ecology, Human Physiology, and Genetics. Solving NEET PYQs chapter-wise.

  • Chemistry: Revision of Physical Chemistry formulas, Organic Chemistry reaction, and Inorganic Chemistry NCERT.

  • Physics: Practicing questions of Optics, Modern Physics, Thermodynamics, and Mechanics with time-bound problem-solving.

  • Mock Tests: Attempting one full-length mock test every week and error analysis.

Month 4: Smart Revision and Attempting Mocks

This month is for smart and targeted revision, along with intensive mock practice.

  • Biology: Revision of NCERT diagrams, tables, and lines. Revision of Human Reproduction, Reproductive Health, Biotechnology, and Ecology.

  • Chemistry: Quick revision of all formulas, Organic named reactions, and Inorganic NCERT chapters.

  • Physics: Revision of all formulas from the formula sheet, practicing short sets, and revision of high-weightage chapters such as Modern Physics, Current Electricity.

Month 5: Revision and Revision

This last month is all about revising NCERT multiple times and simulating real exam conditions.

  • Biology: Revision of Class 11 and 12 NCERT books at least twice without learning any new line, only focusing on NCERT lines and diagrams.

  • Chemistry: Memorizing all formulas, reaction charts, and NCERT examples without studying any new topics.

  • Physics: Revision of all formulas daily, solving 50-question sets, and practicing of previous year papers by giving actual exam conditions.

  • Mock tests: Attempting one full-length test every day in the last 20 days, analysis of mistakes, and revising weak areas right away.
