Direct Admission to NITs & IIITs for NRIs: The official brochure for DASA UG 2025 is now available on its official website. The brochure offers crucial information for international applicants seeking UG admission to top-tier technical institutes in India.

DASA scheme is specifically designed for Foreign Nationals, NRIs, OCIs, and PIOs, to open pathways to renowned institutions such as NITs, IIITs, and other centrally supported technical colleges. Aspirants must check the details presented in the DASA brochure for direct admission to NITs and IIITs for NRIs.

Information Available in DASA UG 2025 Brochure?

The DASA UG 2025 brochure serves as a complete guide for international applicants. It outlines the essential criteria and procedures for admission under the scheme. Here are the key highlights of the DASA UG 2025 brochure:

  • The program is open to Foreign Nationals, NRIs, OCIs, and PIOs who have spent at least two of the past eight years studying abroad, including the qualifying year.

  • Candidates should be born on or after October 1, 1999, and must have passed a 10+2 equivalent exam with mandatory subjects including Mathematics, Physics, and one among Chemistry, Biotechnology, Computer Science, or Biology.

  • Candidates must have scored an overall minimum score of 60% or an equivalent GPA in the qualifying examination.

  • A valid JEE Main 2025 rank is compulsory for admission through DASA.

  • The standard fee is set at USD 4,000 per semester. However, applicants falling under the CIWG category benefit from a reduced fee of INR 1,25,000 per semester.

  • Admissions are offered to prestigious institutions such as NITs, IIITs, SPAs, and other centrally funded technical institutes, excluding the IITs.

What’s New in DASA 2025?

For the 2025 admission cycle, a major update has been introduced in the DASA scheme as it has been integrated with the CSAB-Special Rounds into a single round. Once JoSAA 2025 concludes, any unfilled seats in the NIT and other participating institutes will be made available through the combined admission procedure. The seats will be offered through the official CSAB portal.

This revised structure will include three rounds of seat allocation. Candidates applying through DASA or CSAB-Special must register independently, as the application steps, including choice filling, fee submission, and seat acceptance, differ from those followed in JoSAA.

One key distinction is in the timing of document verification. For DASA applicants, this step will occur prior to seat allotment, while CSAB-Special candidates will complete verification during the seat allocation process.
