JEE Advanced 2026 Eligibility Criteria

Before applying for JEE Advanced 2026, students need to ensure that they meet the eligibility criteria specified by the exam authority. These include JEE Main Performance, Age Limit, Educational Qualification, and Number of Attempts. JEE Advanced Eligibility Criteria 2026 are as follows:

JEE Advanced 2026 Registration Process

JEE Advanced Registration 2026 should begin from April 2026, after the declaration of JEE Main 2026 result. Candidates who are successful in JEE Main Paper 1 (top 2,50,000 positions in the results) will have the option to apply for JEE Advanced 2026.

JEE Advanced application form 2026 will be available online on the official website. Students will have to complete their JEE Advanced 2026 registration. Incomplete or late applications will not be accepted.

JEE Advanced Application Process 2026 

JEE Advanced 2026 application will be available online through the official website. Only the top 2.5 lakh students will be able to fill out the JEE Advanced application form 2026 using their JEE Main 2026 result. The following is a step-by-step guide for students to complete the JEE Advanced 2026 application form:

1. Visit the official website

Go to the official site for JEE Advanced 2026 registration.

2. Login with JEE Main credentials

Enter the roll number, date of birth, and password in the candidate portal using your JEE Main 2026.

3. Fill in the JEE Advanced application form 2026

  • Fill in the personal information (name, contact info, etc.)

  • Academic Details (10th and 12th marks, name of the school, year of passing)

  • Choose exam centers (select cities wisely based on availability).

4. Upload scanned documents

JEE Advanced 2026 Admit Card 

JEE Advanced 2026 Admit Card is expected to be released in the second week of May 2026. Only candidates for which registration number and date of birth are available will be able to download it online.

Admit card contains important information like exam center, reporting time, candidate's photograph, and exam instructions. Candidates are required to carry a printed admit card and a valid photo identification ID to the examination room.

JEE Advanced 2026 Result 

JEE Advanced 2026 result will be declared in June 2026 once the final answer key is made available. Candidates can check their results by logging in with their roll number and credentials. The result shows subject-wise marks, total score, All India Rank (AIR), and qualifying status. Only those who have appeared in both Paper 1 and Paper 2 will be ranked. Qualified students become eligible for JoSAA counselling and IIT admissions.

JEE Advanced 2026 Counselling

JEE Advanced counselling 2026 will be started soon after the results, which is usually in June and will be conducted by JoSAA (Joint Seat Allocation Authority). It includes registration, filling choices or seats, verification of documents and allotment. Applicants are allocated a maximum of six counselling sessions and have three options of Freeze, Float or Slide. To be eligible one must have a valid JEE Advanced rank and minimum marks in Class 12 (75% and 65% respectively, under the General and reserved categories).

JEE Advanced 2026 Cut Off

JEE Advanced 2026 cutoff is the minimum rank or marks to be scored for an admission and counselling to IIT. Cutoffs vary each year based on the level of the exam, number of candidates appearing the exam, and number of available seats.
